  2. Running Device Manager Since you want to reinstall the driver for your sound devices, expand the Sound, video and game controllers section by left-clicking the arrow next to the name. Right-click on the Conexant HD Audio entry in the list and choose Uninstall device from the context menu.
  3. The audio driver is Conexant SmartAudio HD and the latest version available on Lenovo's website is 8.66.27.55. This latest version is installed on the system The Laptop is unable to detect any.
  • Drag Microphone slider to 100
  • Drag Microphone Boost slider to +12.0 dB (if visible)


Important: make sure microphone is NOT muted.

Click Listen >UncheckListen to this device.



Click Advanced.

  • Select 2 channel, 16 bit, 44100HZ (CD Quality) from the drop-down menu. If this selection is unavailable, keep the default format.
  • UncheckEnable audio enhancements (if visible)
